Abscess - A localised accumulation of pus; often associated with infection and forming a swelling.
Addison's disease - Addison's disease is ogften referred to as as hypoadrenocorticism. It is a disease that emanates from a decrease in corticosteroid secretion from the adrenal gland. a disease that afflicts some dogs.
Adulticide - Is a medication that kills forms of a parasite.
Albino - An animal that is completely white because it lacks the ability to make pigment. The eyes are pale blue or pink - very common are albino rabbits.
Anabolic steroid - A type of steroid that stimulates the building of tissues, like muscle - often used as medication.
Antibiotic -
A substance produced by micro-organisms which inhibits the growth of, or destroys bacteria e.g. penicillin.
Anti-convulsant - A drug used to prevent or decrease the severity of or number of convulsions in animals.

A substance that kills or inhibits the growth of micro-organisms.
Arthritis - Inflammation and swelling in the joints; has multiple causes including lameness - often occurs in old age.
Ascarid - Roundworm.
Ataxia - Lack of muscle co-ordination which can result in an abnormal or staggered gait.
