 A new breed of cat is available in the UK and it looks remarkably like a Tiger. The 'tiny tiger' is called a Toyger and they are available for up to £2,500.
The Toyger is a designer pet from the US where a wild tabby was originally crossbred by cat breeder Judy Sudgeon with her own cats. Refined by further breeding over a period of 15 years to mature the rounded nose and black tail tip the breed has now been imported into the UK by three breeders.
Gaynor Jean-Louis, one of the 3 breeders in the UK, sells Toygers for up to £2,500 for a breeding quality cat. The Toyger follows in the footsteps of the bengal cat - a cross between a domestic cat and Asian leopard cats.
