Direct Line pet insurance covers flood risk
Pet insurer Direct Line has offered soggy pet owners in the UK some good news without the notice that it will extend its pet insurance cover so that it will cover the relocation and accommodation in the event of flooding.
The UK has experienced one of the wettest summers on record with flash flooding and water damage rife in some low-lying areas, particularly in the north of England and the West Midlands. Direct Line pet insurance has responded to this and has announced that it will cover pet owners for the safe relocation of their pets - good news for damp pet owners and their cats and dogs.
Effectively, pet owners can rest assured that, with cover from Direct Line pet insurance, their pets will be safely re-housed and will be safe from every pet owner's worst nightmare - drowning.
"I think people that are savvy and into pet insurance will already have their pets insured, so that will cover them if they go into kennels and catteries," said Carmel McCarthy, PR manager at Direct Line.
That's great news for UK pet owners and keeps Britains pets safe in case it rains cats and dogs any further this summer.
